Today I’m releasing “Chiemgaumorgen”—a piece that holds the very first moment of the day: when the mist lifts, colors soften, and the world takes a quiet breath. The title means “Chiemgau morning,” a small love letter to this Bavarian landscape and its calm.

I created the track with Christoph Sebastian Pabst, a long-time collaborator. Our work together is built on sensitivity and space: I trace the emotional line at the piano; Christoph expands it with weightless, shimmering textures.
At the center is an intimate, breathing piano—recorded close, with all the micro-dynamics of touch and pedal. Around it, Christoph weaves ethereal soundscapes and a warm, lyrical Prophet-5 theme. There’s no driving pulse; the music floats, inviting focus, reflection, and stillness. Stylistically, it sits between liminal ambient and neo-classical—quietly cinematic, close yet expansive.
Alongside the stereo version, “Chiemgaumorgen” is available in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music, TIDAL, and Amazon Music. The Dolby Atmos mix by Eric Horstmann opens the space around the piano and synths, revealing delicate overtones and soft reflections—like morning air moving past your ears. Tip: try the Atmos version on headphones for an enveloping experience.
I hope “Chiemgaumorgen” gives you a small pocket of peace—somewhere to arrive, breathe, and pause before the day begins. Thank you for listening and for supporting this music.
