This year, I’m celebrating Piano Day 2026 with a release that’s especially close to my heart: Moments in Stillness, a strictly limited, vinyl-only edition.
The piano has been my musical home for as long as I can remember—and I wanted this release to feel like a small, tangible keepsake: quiet pieces, carefully sequenced, meant to be listened to from start to finish.

Why Piano Day?
Piano Day takes place on the 88th day of the year, inspired by the 88 keys of the piano. For me, it’s the perfect moment to slow down and celebrate the instrument that shaped everything I do.
It’s also a reminder to return to the essentials—melody, touch, space—and to share music that simply lets you breathe for a moment.
About the release
Moments in Stillness is sequenced specifically as a vinyl-only experience—and I’ve carefully remastered it specifically for vinyl, so the music translates with warmth, depth, and clarity on a turntable.
It’s made for the ritual of listening: placing the needle, letting a side unfold, and giving the music a little space to breathe.
Side A revisits the intimate world of my EP In Silence, while Side B expands the journey with pieces like “Nocturnal Embrace”—the track that earned me the German Songwriting Award—and piano interpretations that fit the spirit of Piano Day perfectly.
Erik Satie’s Gymnopédies — my interpretation
On Side B you’ll also find my own interpretations of Erik Satie’s Gymnopédies—three piano pieces he composed in 1888. Their slow pulse, spacious harmonies, and quiet melancholy are often seen as an important foundation and precursor of ambient music—music that values atmosphere, restraint, and emotional space.
That’s exactly why I wanted to interpret them in my own way: to honor the timeless simplicity of Satie’s masterpieces, while letting my personal touch, phrasing, and sound world shine through.
