German Songwriting Awards Nomination: A Special Night in Berlin

Some events stay with you long after they are over — not because of the outcome, but because of the people, the atmosphere, and the shared love for music.

This year, I had the great honor of being nominated at the German Songwriting Awards with “Dark Moon”, my collaboration with Tony Sieber, in the category Best Engineered Song. The event took place at the House of Music in Berlin, and it was one of those evenings that reminded me why I love being part of this creative world.

I left Berlin feeling grateful, inspired, and truly happy to have been there. Being nominated among so many talented artists, producers, and songwriters already meant a lot to me, and I would like to warmly congratulate all the winners who made this anniversary edition of the awards so special.

What made the evening so special was the sense of community. I met many amazing people from the music scene, spent time with good friends, and had inspiring conversations throughout the night. It was especially nice to see friends from Genelec, members of the Dolby Atmos community, and so many passionate music creators gathered in one place.

A special thank you goes to Nadja Kuppel from We Create Music and the German Songwriting Awards. You could feel how much heart, enthusiasm, and dedication she put into making this event happen.

It was also great to meet Stefan Groll, a good friend from my hometown Neustadt, who was nominated in the Schlager category.

I was also very happy to see Sinatic nominated in the EDM category. Since I’ll soon be releasing my upcoming album INFINITY with him, it felt good to see his name there as well.

Another lovely surprise was the press coverage around the event. The Oberhessische Presse featured both Stefan Groll and me in two articles about the nominations from Neustadt, which made the whole experience even more memorable.

Looking back, this nomination was about connection, recognition, and being surrounded by people who care deeply about songwriting, production, and artistic expression. I’m thankful to have been part of it — and I already know that this weekend in Berlin will stay with me for a long time.
