Some days stay with you.
Recently, I had the pleasure of welcoming a team from NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) into my studio for an artist portrait. Journalist Britta Nareyka spent several hours with me, asking thoughtful and inspiring questions about my journey, my music, and what drives me as an artist.
The day felt very natural and warm. We talked about creativity, emotion, and why music has always been more than sound to me. It is a way to create space — to breathe, reflect, and connect.
The team followed me through different parts of my creative process: at the piano, where many ideas begin; in the studio, where those ideas slowly become full compositions; and outside in nature, where I recorded field sounds and captured visual impressions with my Polaroid camera.
Although the portrait focuses on my artistic journey as a whole, I also shared a small glimpse of upcoming music and the visual world associated with it.
I’m deeply grateful to Britta and the whole NDR team — Jannik on sound 🎧 and Petra on camera 🎥 — for capturing everything with such care and sensitivity.
I’m very much looking forward to the final artist portrait and will share the broadcast details as soon as they are available.
